Job Description

As an Order Picker, you will rotate between different warehouse departments, starting in the Dry Goods (Houdbaar) section and later working in the Fresh Products (Vers) department.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Order Picking: Collecting customer orders using a handheld terminal (hand-picking system). Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  • Order Checking: Verifying that picked orders contain the correct quantities.
  • Pallet Preparation: Stacking products safely and according to customer guidelines.
  • Rotating between different warehouse departments to support daily operations.

Order picking is the main responsibility of this position.

Shifts & Working Hours

The warehouse operates 24/7.

Typical shifts are:

  • 06:00 – 13:00
  • 14:30 – 21:30
  • 23:00 – 06:00 (available after gaining experience)
  • Average 34 hours per week (hours are not guaranteed).
  • Overtime is available during busy periods.
  • Breaks:
    • 2 × 15-minute paid breaks
    • 1 × 30-minute unpaid break

Employees are expected to be available Monday through Saturday, with the possibility of working on Sundays for additional pay.

Hours

34,00 per week (average, not guaranteed). Enddate of shift can change. Can be a summer dip of 10-15%

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good physical condition.
  • Comfortable standing and walking throughout the day (approximately 8 km per shift).
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting.
  • Minimum height: 1.70 m.
  • No previous warehouse experience required.
  • English, Polish, Romanian, or Spanish can be spoken on the work floor.

Compensation

Base salary (21+)

  • €14.99 gross per hour

In addition, you receive:

  • 9.04% ATV allowance
  • Shift allowances
  • Performance bonus
  • Holiday pay (included in salary)
  • Possible cold warehouse allowance

Estimated total hourly rate: €17.89/hour (excluding shift allowances and possible cold allowance).

Accommodation & Transportation

  • Fully furnished accommodation.
  • Accommodation is paid by Workstead until your employment contract starts.
  • Company car available for commuting to work only (no private use).
  • Bicycle available for €8.75 per week.
  • Health insurance through Zorg en Zekerheid available for €39.96 per week.
